U.S. NAVY MODIFIES MQ-4C TRITON CONTRACT FOR UPGRADES TO IFC 4.0 MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE CONFIGURATION
PATUXENT RIVER, Md. -- The U.S. Navy awarded Northrop Grumman Systems Corp. of San Diego, California, an $11.0 million modification (P00061) to a previously awarded fixed-price incentive (firm-target) contract (N00019-15-C-0002) to provide additional labor and materials to incorporate production engineering change proposals that modify MQ-4C Triton unmanned aircraft system. The modification affects ECPs on production asset (B12) to an integrated functional capability 4.0 multiple intelligence configuration for the Navy.
The contracted work will be performed in San Diego, California (54.6%), Palmdale, California (40.5%), Medford, New York (2.1%), and various locations within the continental U.S. (2.8%). Work is expected to be completed in June 2023.
The Navy is obligating the full $11.0 million in Fiscal Year 2017 Aircraft Procurement funds at the time of the award. The U.S. Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
