ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md. -- The U.S. Army, on behalf of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customer Romania, awarded Lockheed Martin Corp. of Liverpool, New York, a $129.0 million modification (PZ0003) to a previously awarded contract (W56KGY-21-C-0010) for six TPQ-53 radar systems (also known as the Q-53 or EQ-36), spares, tool kits, remote computer display units, integrated computer systems, training, contractor technical assistance, field service representatives, software support and program management.
The contracted work will be performed in Syracuse, New York, with an estimated completion date of Aug. 11, 2026.
Romania is obligating the full $129.0 million in Fiscal Year 2022 FMS funds at the time of the award. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
