CARACAS, Venezuela - The first vessel in Venezuela's Págalo class was christened on August 7 at the Ucocar naval shipyard in Puerto Cabello.
Ucocar is constructing a total of five Damen Stan Patrol 2606 vessels for the Venezuela Navy under a contract with Dutch shipyard, Damen Shipyards.
The hulls of the first three vessels in the class, the Caricare (PG-52), Alcaraván (PG-53) and Guanare (PG-54) were built in Holland at the Van Noorloos Casconouw BV shipyard and transferred to Ucocar in August 2014.
