ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- The U.S. Air Force awarded Sierra Nevada Corp. of Sparks, Nevada, a $34.0 million firm-fixed-price and cost-reimbursement-no-fee order modification (P00003) to a previously awarded contract (FA8509-20-F-0014) for MC-130J Airborne Mission Networking program low rate initial production (LRIP). The modification was awarded under Basic Contract FA8509-19-D-0001, and provides for procurement of production kits, spares, interim contactor support, and weapon system trainer support.
The contracted work will be performed in Centennial, Colorado, and is expected to be completed by January 19, 2023.
The Air Force is obligating $8.3 million in Fiscal Year 2022 U.S. Southern Command Other Procurement and $25.7 million in FY22 Air Force Other Procurement funds at the time of the award. The U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, is the contracting activity.
While announced by the Department of Defense on May 24, 2022, the contract was awarded on May 13th.
