BARCELONA -- BAA Training is adding an L3Harris full flight simulator (FFS) for the Airbus A320ceo and A320neo aircraft to the mix of equipment in its BAA Training Spain facility.
The agreement builds on an existing L3Harris and BAA Training relationship, including agreements from 2020 to deliver multiple full flight simulators and EASA Level 2 flight training devices (FTD) across BAA Training facilities in Europe and Asia.
The A320 FFS is currently being installed at BAA Training's center in Barcelona, and is scheduled to be ready for training at the end of 2021. The device is joining an A320ceo FFS, a Boeing 737 MAX FFS, and an A320 EASA Level 2 FTD. L3Harris is managing the manufacture and delivery of the latter two devices.
"We continue to support BAA Training's operations with this A320ceo/neo FFS, which improves both the quality and capacity of their training," said Alan Crawford, L3Harris President of Commercial Aviation. "This agreement reflects the exciting recovery we are seeing across the commercial aviation industry."
Marijus Ravoitis, Chief Executive Officer at BAA Training, said, "The equipment supplied by L3Harris will help BAA Training with its ambitious expansion plans. We're aiming to offer a diversity of choice for our airline customers -- an extended range of equipment in a number of different locations worldwide for their convenience."
