SINGAPORE -- The Republic of Singapore Navy has performed another test of its unmanned surface vessel (USV). This system proved its capability to neutralize sea mines. The RSN says the USV is now mission-ready.

The two USVs equipped with an expendable mine disposal (EMD) system successfully neutralized an underwater target. This test took place on January 29, 2021.

The EMD used was the K-STER C built by ECA Group. The USVs with the EMD system were introduced by Singapore in 2018.
