NEW DELHI -- India has conducted a successful flight test of a new Man Portable Antitank Guided Missile (MPATGM). The state-run Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is leading the program.
The MPATGM hit the ground target in direct attack mode. The test validated the missile's minimum range capability. The missile has already completed a flight test for its maximum range.
The new MPATGM is a lightweight, fire-and-forget guided missile. The man-portable launcher is integrated with a thermal sight.
