U.S. NAVY EXERCISES OPTIONS FOR MK99 FIRE CONTROL AND SPY-1 TRANSMITTER SUPPORT
PORT HUENEME, Calif. -- The U.S. Navy awarded Raytheon Technologies of Marlborough, Massachusetts, a $9.2 million firm-fixed-price and cost-plus-fixed-fee term modification to a previously-awarded contract (N63394-21-C-0004) to exercise options for ordnance alteration installation services and to provide engineering and technical services in support of the Mk99 fire control and SPY-1 radar transmitter systems.
The contracted work will be performed in Yokosuka, Japan (25%), Moorestown, New Jersey (25%), Marlborough, Massachusetts (20%), Norfolk, Virginia (14%), Everett, Washington (12%), Mayport, Florida (2%), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (1%), and San Diego, California (1%), and is expected to be completed by June 2022.
The Navy is obligating $7.4 million (80 percent) in Fiscal Year 2021 Other Procurement, $924,330 (10 percent) in FY20 Shipbuilding and Conversion, $732,278 (8 percent) in FY20 Other Procurement, and $200,000 (2 percent) in FY21 Operations and Maintenance funds at the time of the award. At the end of the current fiscal year, $200,000 of this funding will expire.
The U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division, Port Hueneme, California, is the contracting activity.
