U.S. AIR FORCE REMAINS VIGILANT IN DEFENDING FROM CYBER ATTACKS
NEWTOWN, Conn. -- Overseen by the U.S. Air Force the Cyberspace Defense Analysis (CDA)Weapon System conducts Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) and network defense by monitoring, collecting, analyzing, and reporting sensitive information transiting or residing on the AFNet.
CDA is the cyberspace weapon system that is used to conduct assessments during peace time and contingency operations.
Without proper funding the CDA Operators will not be able to determine the potential damage and impact (as well as the operational adjustments needed) as a result from information disclosures or compromised information as a result of network intrusions.
Yet despite being considered vital in this cyberspace day and age, funding is expected to remain low over the forecast period - roughly under half a million dollars a year. However, while low, it will remain stable and likely increase in the outer years.
