ROK SHIPS COMPLETE VISIT TO VLADIVOSTOK

MOSCOW -- The detachment of the Republic of Korea Navy comprised of the destroyer Dae Jo Yeong and the Il Chul Bong and Cheon Wang Bong amphibious ships completed its visit to Vladivostok Nov. 15. It was the 13th visit of the South Korean ships to Primorye.

During the business trip, which began Nov. 12, naval sailors and cadets of military schools of South Korea met with the commander of the Pacific Fleet, Admiral Sergei Avakyants, laid a wreath at the memorial complex dedicated to Military Glory of the Pacific Fleet, visited the Museum of Pacific Fleet, visited the Submarine C-56 and Voroshilov battery museum complexes.

South Korean officers and cadets visited the Pacific Fleet Higher Naval School where they met with command staff and look over training equipment and infrastructure.

At the main naval berth, a farewell ceremony took place, after which the ROK ships left the capital of Primorye.
