TOULOUSE, France -- Airbus recorded orders for eight aircraft during the month of July. An undisclosed customers ordered eight A350-900s.
Airbus delivered a total of 77 aircraft during July. This total included two A220-300s, one A319ceo, 10 A320ceos, 30 A320neos, eight A321ceos, 14 A321neos, two A330-200s, three A330-300s, five A350-900s, one A350-1000, and one A380.
In the first seven months of 2018, Airbus garnered 269 orders. The company delivered 380 aircraft.
As of July 31, 2018, the order backlog for Airbus totaled 7,464. Unfilled orders broken down by aircraft type were as follows: 363 for the A220, 19 for the A319ceo, 56 for the A319neo, 121 for the A320ceo, 3,780 for the A320neo, 118 for the A321ceo, 1,901 for the A321neo, 302 for the A330, 702 for the A350, and 102 for the A380.
The overall backlog at the end of July 2018 represents an increase compared to the backlog at the end of June 2018, which had totaled 7,168. This increase is due to the first-time inclusion of the A220 (formerly the Bombardier CSeries) into Airbus' official results. The end-July figure also represents an increase compared to the company's yearend-2017 order backlog of 7,265.
