RENTON, Wash. - Boeing Commercial Airplanes recorded orders for 67 aircraft in the month of January. United Airlines ordered 40 737-700s. The U.S. Navy ordered 16 737-800As. Air China ordered six 777-300ERs. The Australian P-8 program ordered four 737-800As. ALC ordered one 787-9.

Boeing Commercial Airplanes delivered a total of 49 aircraft during January. This total includes 29 737-800s, two 737-800As, four 737-900ERs, one 747-8, six 777-300ERs, one 787-8, and six 787-9s.

As of January 31, 2016, the order backlog for Boeing Commercial Airplanes totaled 5,813. Unfilled orders broken down by aircraft type were as follows: 4,417 for the 737, 19 for the 747, 80 for the 767, 524 for the 777, and 773 for the 787.

The overall backlog at the end of January 2016 represents an increase compared to the yearend-2015 backlog, which had totaled 5,795. Both figures are increases compared to the company’s yearend-2014 order backlog of 5,789.
