MESA, Ariz. -- Mexico-based Aeroservicios Especializados S.A. de C.V. (ASESA) has selected Able Aerospace Services, a Textron subsidiary, as the exclusive provider of component repairs, overhauls and exchanges for ASESA helicopters in Mexico - a fleet that includes a significant contingent of Bell 412 aircraft.

The agreement also provides ASESA with preferred access to Able’s world-class, OEM-approved exchange pool, offering expedited solutions for scheduled, unscheduled and AOG maintenance scenarios.

"Able’s capabilities are very well matched with ASESA’s fleet maintenance requirements," said Able Aerospace Services General Manager Gabriel Massey. "We have enjoyed a strong relationship with ASESA for many years, and look forward to putting our resources to even greater use to serve its customers - many of which are the foundation of the region’s oil and electric power industry."

Founded in 1977, ASESA provides MRO services and specialized onshore and offshore helicopter air transportation, cargo transportation, aerial supervision and filming with one of the most modern helicopter fleets in Mexico. The company operates bases for maintenance and service in six locations across the country: Del Carmen City, Monterey, Mexico City, Tampico, Toluca and Veracruz.

Able will offer ASESA broad component repair, overhaul and exchange services, including some of the world’s most extensive solutions for Bell 212 and 412 dynamic components within the main rotor hub, tail rotor hub and transmission.

The ASESA agreement is Able’s latest move to expand its support of helicopter fleets in Latin America and maximize the value of its position as an approved Bell Service Center, offering FAA-approved repairs, exchanges and in-house specialized services. All in-house work is completed by a collaborative staff of mechanics, engineers, DER experts and customer service specialists from Able’s 200,000-square-foot headquarters located at Phoenix Mesa Gateway Airport in Mesa, Arizona.
