USAF AWARDS BOEING $168.8M CONTRACT MOD FOR F-15 APG-63(V)3 AND APG-82(V)1 RADAR IMPROVEMENT
WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio - The U.S. Air Force has awarded Boeing of St. Louis, Mo., a $168.8 million modification (#P00028) to a previously awarded contract (FA8634-16-C-2653) for the combined upgrades of the APG-63(V)3 and APG-82(V)1 radars through the Radar Improvement Program and Radar Modernization Program, respectively. This contract supports upgrades to the F-15 fighter aircraft.
Under the terms of the contract, Boeing will provide an additional 18 APG-63(V)3 and 16 APG-82(V)1 RMP radars, as well as the associated installation, initial spares, support equipment, ICS, tooling, and other required support. The work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo., and is expected to be completed by February 28, 2022.
The U.S. Air Force has obligated the full $168.8 million in Fiscal Year 2015, 2016, and 2017 Procurement; and Defense Working Capital funds at the time of award. The U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.
