JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska -- The U.S. Air Force has awarded ARCTEC Alaska JV of Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson, Alaska, a $37.9 million modification (#P00022) to a previously awarded contract (FA5215-14-C-7007) for operations and maintenance of Alaskan remote radar sites. The modification provides for the exercise of a third option year, ranging from September 29, 2018, to September 28, 2019. With the exercise of this option, the total cumulative face value of the contract has grown to $380.3 million.
The contracted work will be performed at the Alaska Radar System sites in Alaska at Barrow, Barter Island, Cold Bay, Cape Lisburne, Cape Newenham, Cape Romanzof, Fort Yukon, Indian Mountain, King Salmon, Kotzebue, Murphy Dome, Oliktok, Sparrevohn, Tatalina, Tin City, Valdez, Middleton Island, Saint Paul Island, the Regional Air Operations Center and the Maintenance Control and Communications Center.
The Air Force has obligated $11.4 million in Fiscal Year 2018 Operations and Maintenance funds at the time of the award. The contracting activity responsible for the award is the 766th Specialized Contracting Squadron of Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska.
