PENTAGON - Bell Boeing JPO, Amarillo, Texas, is being awarded an $18,000,000 indefinite- delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for technical analysis, engineering and integration services in support of the V-22 aircraft platform.
Work will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas (50 percent); and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (50 percent), and is expected to be completed in December 2022. No funds will be obligated at time of award. Funds will be obligated on individual task orders as they are issued. This contract was not competitively procured pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity (N00019-18-D-0103).
As the V-22 is a relatively new aircraft, most V-22 retrofit programs are focused on correcting deficiencies that have only become apparent through active service. As the production configuration evolves, parallel standardization retrofit programs will continue to emerge and improve overall fleet capabilities and simplify logistics.
