BANGKOK - GE's Distributed Power business has signed a 12-year multi-year agreement with Ratchaburi World Cogeneration Company, Limited (RWC) of Thailand. The services agreement provides planned maintenance for four of GE's LM6000-PD aeroderivative gas turbine packages.

RWC has a contract to supply power to Thailand's national grid for 25 years and to supply remaining electricity, approximately 10 percent of installed capacity, and steam to its direct users located in the Ratchaburi Industrial Estate. The LM6000-PD aeroderivative gas turbines will be used for combined cycle in the 224-megawatt (MW) power plant, which will generate electricity by using fuel gas. RWC will sell the steam produced to industrial users.

GE Power & Water's Distributed Power business is a leading provider of power equipment, engines and services, focused on power generation at or near the point of use. Distributed Power's product portfolio includes GE's aeroderivative gas turbines and reciprocating engines, which generate 100 kilowatts to 100 MW of power for numerous industries globally. Headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, Distributed Power employs about 5,000 people around the world.

Ratchaburi World Cogeneration Company Limited generates electricity and steam in Thailand. The company operates two cogeneration projects with capacity of 112 MW each. Ratchaburi World Cogeneration Company Limited is based in the Photharam district, Ratchaburi Province, Thailand.
