DELHI - Snecma (Safran) and Max Aerospace have signed an agreement to create a joint venture called Max Aero Engines Private Limited (MAEPL), which will offer military aircraft engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services in India. MAEPL will provide complete engine support solutions, in particular shop-level maintenance and flight line services. More specifically, its main role will be providing maintenance services for the Snecma M53 engines powering the Mirage 2000H "Vajra" fighters, on behalf of the Indian Air Force (IAF), starting in 2015.
