MADRID - The Spanish government has approved an extraordinary credit to cover its special armament programs. The fund is worth EUR856.4 million and supports missile, warships, aircraft and vehicle projects.
This fund will provide €1.5 million ($1.7 million) to the IRIS-T short-range air-to-air, €10.2 million ($11.2 million) to the TAURUS strike, and €20.0 million ($22 million) to the SPIKE anti-armor missile programs.
The largest part of this funding will be allocated to the Spanish Air Force's Typhoon combat and A400M transport aircraft efforts.
