HONEYWELL DETAILS UPDATED BUSINESS STRUCTURE AHEAD OF AEROSPACE AND MATERIALS SPIN-OFFS
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Honeywell has outlined a new business segment structure in preparation for the planned separation of its Aerospace Technologies and Solstice Advanced Materials businesses. The Solstice separation is scheduled for completion on October 30, 2025, while the Aerospace spin-off remains on track for the second half of 2026.
Beginning January 1, 2026, and reflected in its first-quarter 2026 results, Honeywell will report under four segments: Aerospace Technologies, Building Automation, Industrial Automation, and Process Automation and Technology.
The Aerospace Technologies segment will remain part of Honeywell until its planned separation in 2026. The business provides propulsion systems, avionics, auxiliary power units, and other systems used across commercial and defense aircraft platforms.
After the Aerospace spin-off, Honeywell will operate with three reportable business segments:
-- Building Automation (BA): Provides systems and services for fire prevention, controls, access, and security, supporting unified building management and sustainability initiatives.
-- Industrial Automation (IA): Focuses on sensor technologies, edge devices, and connectivity solutions for industrial automation.
-- Process Automation and Technology (PA&T): Offers automation and process technology solutions supporting industrial digitalization, energy transition, and emissions reduction.
Leadership of these segments will remain with current executives: Billal Hammoud (Building Automation), Peter Lau (Industrial Automation), Jim Masso (Process Automation), and Ken West (Process Technology). All will report to Honeywell Chairman and CEO Vimal Kapur following the Aerospace separation.
The updated structure represents the next phase of Honeywell’s portfolio realignment aimed at simplifying its operations and strengthening focus on automation and digital transformation.
