BERLIN - Germany, acting through Rheinmetall, is donating a further 20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) to Ukraine. Rheinmetall shipped the first of 20 Marder IFVs to Ukraine back on March 21, 2023. These vehicles come from German Army stocks. There are a further 60 Marder IFVs available for transfer.
Although not mentioned, Ukraine could also receive MILAN man-portable anti-armor missiles as part of this deal. Some models of the Marder IFV, including the 1A3s, are equipped with a turret mounted MILAN launcher.
