TOULOUSE, France -- Airbus recorded orders for 20 aircraft during the month of January. CALC ordered 15 A320neos. Spirit Airlines ordered five A320ceos.
Airbus delivered a total of 27 aircraft during January. This total included one A319ceo, 11 A320ceos, four A320neos, three A321ceos, two A321neos, two A330-300s, and four A350-900s.
As of January 31, 2018, the order backlog for Airbus totaled 7,253. Unfilled orders broken down by aircraft type were as follows: 16 for the A319ceo, 30 for the A319neo, 190 for the A320ceo, 3,822 for the A320neo, 179 for the A321ceo, 1,898 for the A321neo, 315 for the A330, 708 for the A350, and 95 for the A380.
The overall backlog at the end of January 2018 represents a decrease compared to the yearend-2017 backlog, which had totaled 7,265. Both figures are increases compared to the company's yearend-2016 order backlog of 6,874.
