WASHINGTON - AM General LLC, South Bend, Indiana, has been awarded a $45.9 million firm-fixed-price Foreign Military Sales (Afghanistan) contract for the procurement of 6,576 supplemental M1151A1B1 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles, Expanded Capacity Vehicles, and capability expansion kits for the Afghan National Defense Security Forces. Bids were solicited via the Internet with one received.
Work will be performed in South Bend, Indiana, with an estimated completion date of Aug. 31, 2018. Fiscal 2017 other funds in the amount of $45.9 million were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Contracting Command, Warren, Michigan, is the contracting activity.
