FARNBOROUGH, UK - Vector Aerospace Corporation, a global independent provider of aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services, has been presented with two awards from Rolls-Royce for its support of the AE 2100 turboprop’s quick engine change (QEC) nacelle.

The awards, which were presented to Vector during this year’s Rolls-Royce AE Authorized Maintenance Center (AMC) Conference in Indianapolis, IN, included an Operational Performance Award for ‘Lowest nacelle turn-around time in the network’ and a Quality Excellence Award for ‘No quality escapes in the last year.’

Vector provides support for the QEC nacelles equipping Lockheed Martin C-130J Super Hercules transport aircraft under subcontract to Rolls-Royce, in support of MissionCare® contracts for the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Marine Corps. The work, which is undertaken at Vector’s Pyestock facility in Farnborough, Hants, involves the removal of AE 2100D3 engines from the nacelle, which is then repaired, refurbished and painted, as required.

Vector’s subcontract performance is continuously measured in terms of delivery, quality and customer performance. Vector has repeatedly attained an ‘Excellent’ scorecard status rating since 2010, with the Pyestock team achieving 100% on time delivery (OTD).

Vector has an established track record of C-130 QEC nacelle support, being an authorized Lockheed Martin QEC Service Center for the nacelle on the legacy C-130B-H Hercules aircraft. In addition, Vector supports the Rolls-Royce T56 turboprop as an Authorized Maintenance Center (AMC), and also provides full support for the UTC Aerospace Systems (formerly Hamilton Sundstrand) 54H60 propeller system.
