PORTLAND, Oreg. - Precision Conversions LLC has received a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for its 757-200PCC Combi conversion of the Boeing 757-200. The Combi configuration includes 10 full cargo positions, seating for 54 passengers, and full galley and lavatory facilities. The converted aircraft is also fitted with winglets; according to Precision Conversions, it is the first certified 757-200 Combi to include winglets.
The initial 757-200PCC Combi is a Pratt & Whitney-powered 757-200 built in 1994. The aircraft is owned by Cargo Aircraft Management Inc (CAM), and will be leased to and operated by Air Transport International Inc (ATI) as a replacement for a DC-8 Combi aircraft. Both CAM and ATI are subsidiaries of Air Transport Services Group Inc.
Precision Conversions said that it is in the process of marketing additional 757-200PCC Combis to government agencies, corporations, and other operator entities that have a specialized need to simultaneously transport cargo and passengers.
