ABERDEEN, Scotland, U.K. - Wood Group has acquired Intetech Limited, a niche provider of software and engineering consultancy services for well integrity and corrosion management to the global oil & gas market. Formed in 1991, Intetech had revenue for the year ended December 2012 of $4.2 million.
Intetech is a well integrity software company supporting customers in the oil & gas industry and other sectors to ensure the safe and profitable operation of their assets. Providing expert consultancy and internationally recognized software systems, Wood Group said, Intetech ensures the integrity of wells, pipelines and other oil & gas assets. Formed in 1991 by Dr. Liane Smith, Intetech employs around 30 people who work internationally from offices near Chester in the U.K., and in the U.S. and Serbia. Intetech's customers fall into three main sectors: oil & gas, power and carbon capture and storage, and gas storage and distribution. Intetech received the 2012 Queen's Award for Enterprise for innovation for its Well Integrity Toolkit (iWIT) software.
