LOCKHEED MARTIN RECEIVES CONTRACT FOR SUSTAINMENT OF THREE MAJOR SATELLITE COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS
WASHINGTON - Lockheed Martin Space System Co, of Sunnyvale, California, has been awarded a $735.5 million cost-plus-incentive-fee contract, from the United States Air Force, for satellite sustainment. Contractor will provide sustainment of the Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF), Milstar, and Defense Satellite Communications System III (DSCS) . Work will be performed at Sunnyvale, California, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado, and Schriever Air Force Base, Colorado, and is expected to be complete by Nov. 30, 2015. This award is the result of a sole-source acquisition.
Fiscal 2015 operations and maintenance funds in the amount of $36,646,878 are being obligated at the time of award.
The U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado, is the contracting activity. The contract award number is FA8823-15-C-0001.
