MITSUBISHI HITACHI POWER SYSTEMS AMERICAS INTEGRATES AND EXPANDS PRESENCE IN AMERICAS

LAKE MARY, Fla. - Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Americas, Inc (MHPSA), headquartered in Lake Mary, Florida announced the formal integration of its Americas operations, a culmination of the historic merger between the thermal power generation systems businesses of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd and Hitachi, Ltd. The global joint venture agreement concluded on February 1, 2014, expanding their presence in the Americas, and the consolidation of their respective companies commences today, combining over 150 years of technological innovation and leadership.

Under the leadership of MHPSA, the consolidation includes Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Americas - Solid Fuel & Environmental Solutions Division; Mechanical Dynamics & Analysis, Ltd (MD&A); Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Canada, Ltd (MHPSC); Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems de Mexico S.A. de C.V.; and MH Power Systems de Venezuela, C.A. based in Caracas.

"We are excited about the consolidation of companies and operations with MHPSA. Through the combined resources created with this integration, we can expand with a full scope and a broader portfolio of solutions to offer our customers," said Dave Walsh, MHPSA President and CEO.

Under the MHPSA organization, the combined entities offer a seamless service and product solution portfolio for the Americas for OEM and Non-OEM equipment. As OEM, MHPSA will sell and service all of the former Mitsubishi and Hitachi power system steam and gas turbine, boiler and environment control offerings. Non-OEM offerings will be provided by MD&A; as well as through MHPSA, where OEM technology can be applied.

The leadership team of these new integrated subsidiaries and divisions are:

Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Americas Solid Fuel & Environmental Solutions Division is headquartered in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. William Buffa, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Solid Fuel Business; and Dave Brozek, Senior Vice President Sales and Commercial Operations, will lead the Basking Ridge operations. Buffa reports to Dave Walsh, President and CEO. Brozek reports to Bill Newsom, MHPSA Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing, and additionally reports to Buffa on a matrix basis.

Mechanical Dynamics & Analysis, Ltd is headquartered in Latham, New York, with various operations across the U.S. John Vanderhoef, President & CEO will report to Dave Walsh. John will also serve as an MHPSA officer as Executive Vice President.

Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Canada, Ltd is headquartered in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Tom Kishchuk, President and CEO MHPSC Ltd. will report to Dave Walsh. Tom will also serve as an MHPSA officer, as Senior Vice President. Sheldon Myhre, Senior Vice President, will report directly to Bill Newsom, and also on a matrix basis to Tom Kishchuk.

Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. is headquartered in Mexico City with service operations located in Monterrey. Hidetoshi Shigemitsu, President, will report to Dave Walsh.

Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems de Venezuela, C.A. is headquartered in Caracas.

Roberto Lares, General Manager will report to Javier Ruiz, Regional Vice President Latin America Sales, who reports directly to Bill Newsom, Executive Vice President Sales & Marketing.

With the announcement of Jim William's (Executive Vice President of North American Factory Operations) retirement on March 31, Sam Suttle is appointed as Vice President of the North American Factory Operations and will report to Dave Walsh. Reporting to Sam in his new role are John Barrett, General Manager, Orlando Manufacturing & Repair; Bob Provitola, Deputy Vice President Repair & Manufacturing Global Collaboration; and Jack Daniels, Rotor & Stationary Operations Director Houston Repair. Sam will act as General Manager of the Savannah Machinery Works in the interim, and will oversee the Orlando Repair Center, the Houston Repair and Operations Center, and on a matrix basis, the Saskatoon plant operations of MHPSC Ltd.
