MEGGITT TRAINING SYSTEMS US ARMY CONTRACT FOR ENGAGEMENT SKILLS TRAINER CONFIRMED

SUWANEE, Ga. - Following the announcement in Meggitt PLC's first-half results and after action by the U.S. General Accounting Office denying the protest of another bidder, Meggitt Training Systems has been reaffirmed as the supplier of the US Army's next generation virtual small arms trainer, EST (Engagement Skills Trainer) II, in the $99 million contract announced on June 18, 2014.

The five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract from the US Army Program Executive Office for Simulation and Training (PEO STRI) covers 1,000-plus new and upgraded systems and simulated weapons for US Army facilities worldwide.
