WASHINGTON - Lockheed Martin Missile and Fire Control of Orlando, Florida was awarded a $12-million, fixed-price-incentive U.S. Army foreign military sale contract (W58RGZ-15-C-0009) to support equipment on board Saudi Arabian helicopters. The contract, which includes options for post-production support services for the Royal Saudi Land Forces Aviation Command, will support the ASQ-170 Modernized Target Acquisition Designation Sight/Pilot Night Vision Sensor (M-TADS/PNVS).
The ASQ-170 M-TADS/PNVS electro-optical fire control and navigational system provides the AH-64 Apache helicopter with targeting capability and operational safety, both day and night and in bad weather. The system is an upgrade over the Apache's older Target Acquisition and Designation Sight/Pilot Night Vision Sensor (TADS/PNVS) system.
Work will be performed in Orlando, Florida, with an estimated completion date of May 31, 2020. During program competition, one bid was solicited with one received. The FMS is funded with FY15 "Other Procurement" funds, with the full $12 million obligated at the time of the award.
