MOSCOW - Brazil could sign a contract for Russian-made Pantsyr-S1 surface-to-air missile (SAM) systems during the first half of 2015. The contract is worth some $1 billion and could involve the delivery of at least three Pantsyr-S1 batteries (for a total of 18 launchers).

The Pantsyr-S1 is produced by KBP and is a short-to-medium gun-missile air defense system. The system is equipped with two 30mm anti-aircraft cannons.
