RUSSIAN NAVY ACQUIRING NEW CRUISE MISSILE
Monday, September 29, 2014
MOSCOW - Russia performed the final tests of its newest cruise missile in September 2014. NPO Mashinostroyenia, a part of the Tactical Missiles Corp, developed this missile, which is designed for the Russian Navy. No name is associated with this new cruise missile. No specific technical data is available.

This is fundamentally a new missile and could be hypersonic. This system may be based on a missile already in service, perhaps the P-800 Onyx (also known as Yakhont).

This new missile will significantly enhance the power of the Russian Navy. The missile will be offered for export.
