NEWTOWN, Conn. - According to an ITAR-TASS news report, MiG has completed delivery of modernization kits for India's MiG-29 aircraft. The kits will upgrade the IAF's MiG-29s to the MiG-29UGP standard, which includes a Zhuk-ME radar and enhancements to the aircraft's avionics, engines and weapons control systems.

The $964 million contract was signed in 2009 as part of India's multi-billion dollar, defense-wide modernization effort.
