MOSCOW -- Russia's missile inventory is under pressure to meet the demands of its military operation in Ukraine. Moscow continues to expend tactical missiles in large numbers.
With progress on the ground slowed by Ukrainian resistance, Moscow has increased its use of tactical missile systems. Russian forces are pounding Ukrainian forces defending the cities of Lyschansak and Severodonetsk.
In its attacks, Russia's use of older weapons could be a possible sign of a dwindling inventory. The new AS-23A Kodiak, also known as the Kh-101, has been used in combat, along with the older AS-4 Kitchen (Kh-29).
