CONTRACT INCREASES FOR USS HARRY S. TRUMAN (CVN 75) REFUELING COMPLEX OVERHAUL
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Huntington Ingalls Industries Newport News Shipbuilding has been awarded an $18,064,449 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to previously awarded contract N00024-18-C-2106, from the United States Navy, for the advance planning requirements to support the refueling complex overhaul of the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75).
Work will be performed in Newport News, Virginia, and is expected to completed in November 2022.
Fiscal 2021 shipbuilding and conversion (Navy) funds in the amount of $12,808,399 will be obligated at time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. In accordance with 10 U.S. Code 2304 (c)(1), this contract was not competitively procured - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
The U.S. Navy's Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity. The contract award number is N00024-18-C-2106.
