U.S. AIR FORCE INCREASES INCREMENT III SCOPE OF AWACS FLIGHT SIMULATOR CONTRACT
WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- The U.S. Air Force awarded L3Harris Technologies of Arlington, Texas, a $9.6 million modification (P00037) to a previously awarded contract (FA8621-16-C-6371) supporting the Increment III Full Motion Flight Simulator for the Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) Diminishing Manufacturing Sources Replacement of Avionics for Global Operations and Navigation Program. This modification raises the total cumulative face value of the contract to $57.2 million.
The contracted work will be performed in Arlington, Texas, and is expected to be completed July 21, 2023.
The Air Force is obligating nearly the full $9.6 million in Fiscal Year 2021 Aircraft Procurement funds at the time of the award. Air force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.
