RENTON, Wash. -- Boeing Commercial Airplanes recorded orders for 46 aircraft in the month of January. The U.S. Navy P-8A Poseidon program ordered 10 737-800As. The Norway P-8 program ordered five 737-800As. The U.K. P-8 program ordered four 737-800As. Unidentified customers ordered nine 737 MAXs, 14 787-9s, and four 787-10s.
Boeing Commercial Airplanes delivered a total of 46 aircraft during January. This total includes 20 737 MAXs, six 737-800s, one 737-800A, seven 737-900ERs, one 767-2C, one 767-300F, two 777Fs, six 787-9s, and two 787-10s.
As of January 31, 2019, the order backlog for Boeing Commercial Airplanes totaled 5,948. Unfilled orders broken down by aircraft type were as follows: 4,754 for the 737, 24 for the 747, 109 for the 767, 429 for the 777, and 632 for the 787.
The backlog at the end of January 2019 represents a decrease compared to the yearend-2018 backlog, which had totaled 5,951. Both figures are increases compared to the company's yearend-2017 order backlog of 5,864.
