KYIV -- Three surface-to-air missile (SAM) systems were spotted by monitors of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) in separatist-occupied areas of Donbas, Ukraine. An unmanned air vehicle (UAV) spotted the 9K35 Strela-10 SAMs during a flight over the village of Katerynivka (formerly Yuvileine). This village is 8 kilometers west of Luhansk.

OSCE is also reporting an increase in cease-fire violations.

Pro-Russian separatists took control of parts of eastern Ukraine in 2014. Moscow is accused of supporting these separatists.
