MANILA -- The U.S. government is again offering the Philippines Lockheed Martin F-16 fighters. The offer came during Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Delfin Lorenzana's visit to Washington D.C.

Secretary Lorenzana said the fighters are too expensive for the Philippines, as well as the attack helicopters also offered by the United States.

The Philippines is not interested in the F-16, but does want to acquire new attack helicopters.
