SIMMONDS PRECISION PRODUCTS AWARDED U.S. DLA CONTRACT FOR DIGITAL COMPUTER MAIN PROTECTION UNITS
PHILADELPHIA -- The U.S. Defense Logistics Agency, on behalf of the Navy, has awarded UTC Aerospace Systems, (dba Simmonds Precision Products) of Vergennes, Vt., a maximum $7.4 million firm-fixed priced contract (SPRPA1-18-C-Y037) for aircraft digital computer main protection units. This award was the result of a sole-source acquisition using justification 10 U.S. Code 2304 (c)(1), as stated in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, and will consist of a one-year, two-month performance period with no option periods.
The contracted work will be performed in Vt., with an expected October 9, 2019, completion date.
U.S. Navy Fiscal Year 2018 through Fiscal Year 2020 Working Capital funds will be appropriated for the contract. The contracting activity is the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency Aviation of Philadelphia, Pa.
