KIEV -- State Kyiv Design Bureau Luch - together with domestic company Radionics - conducted successful tests of the C-125M Pechora modernized anti-aircraft missile system.
The C-125 missile system underwent an integrated modification of all elements, including modernization of missiles, as well as the use of a new radar station built on solid-state elements.
During the tests, the C-125 fired at air targets using new 5B27D-M2 missiles equipped with a semi-active radar homing device. This ensures detection and engagement of the fighter-class air targets at a distance of not less than 20 km. This greatly increases guidance accuracy, ensuring engagement of even highly evading targets.
The initial section of the missile moves along the aerobalistic trajectory, significantly increasing the C-125M's engagement area, to more than 40 km. The engagement area's maximum height is 25 km.
Preparation of production facilities for serial modernization of 5B27D-M2 missiles is currently being carried out at Luch.
