SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Gulfstream G650 and G650ER business jets have received type certificate validation from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). The validation confirms the type certificate issued by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, and is one of the final steps required for an aircraft to be registered in a particular country. China thus becomes the 26th country in which the G650 is certified, and the 16th in which the G650ER is approved.
"The G650 and G650ER demonstrate real-world capability that our customers value," said Scott Neal, Gulfstream senior vice president of worldwide sales. "As business aviation needs in the Asia-Pacific region continue to increase, we are pleased to offer our customers in China the safety, performance, and reliability that the G650 and G650ER offer."
The G650 can travel 12,964 kilometers (7,000 nautical miles) at Mach 0.85. The G650ER can travel 13,890 kilometers (7,500 nautical miles) at Mach 0.85.
