SOLOMON AIRLINES SELECTS STANDARDAERO FOR PW120A SUPPORT

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Solomon Airlines, the national airline of the Solomon Islands, has selected StandardAero to continue supporting the Pratt & Whitney Canada PW120A engines powering its Dash 8-100 regional turboprop fleet. Under the multi-year follow-on agreement, StandardAero will support Solomon Airlines’ engines on a pay-per-hour basis, providing the airline with the assurance of predictable, low-risk engine maintenance costs.

StandardAero is a Designated Overhaul Facility (DOF) for the P&WC PW100 family, with overhaul facility locations in Summerside, PE, Canada and Gonesse, France, supported by seven service center locations across the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia. With more than 25 years of reliable turboprop MRO experience, the company provides engine support options and recommendations that are tailored to operators’ specific needs. StandardAero’s service offering on the PW100 family also includes engine condition trend monitoring (ECTM) services, as a CAMP Systems Designated Analysis Center (DAC).

Headquartered at Henderson International Airport in Honiara, Solomon Airlines is the national airline of the Solomon Islands. The airline currently operates services from Honiara to Brisbane, Sydney, Fiji, Vanuatu, Tarawana, as well as an extensive domestic network around the Solomon Islands. Solomon Airlines operates a mix of different aircraft, including the newly upgraded A320 on international routes, Dash 8, Twin Otter, and Islander aircraft on domestic routes. Interline and codeshare agreements with Qantas, Air Niugini, Air Vanuatu, and Air New Zealand are in place. From North America, most travelers fly via Los Angeles, and either Brisbane or Nadi.
