ISLAMABAD -- The United States continues to perform air strikes on Taliban militants hiding in Pakistani territory. In a recent attack, a key Pakistani Taliban commander was killed.

The air strike hit the deputy chief of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on February 8. A U.S.-operated armed unmanned air vehicle (UAV) used missiles to destroy a vehicle carrying Taliban members in the Margha area of Barmal district in Afghanistan's Paktika province, which borders North Waziristan.
