WARSAW - The Polish government says the price for Patriot air defense systems is unacceptable. The United States is offering to provide Poland with the Patriot PAC-3 + system.

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) announced in November the planned sale of Patriot systems to Poland. This deal, which involves 16 launch units and 208 missiles, is worth $10.5 billion, three billion dollars more than what Poland is willing to spend on the program.

Polish officials are traveling to Washington to negotiate a better price for the Patriot batteries.
