DUBAI - Interest in the BrahMos supersonic missile is increasing, according to Indian officials. This missile is on display at the Dubai Air Show. Countries reportedly expressing interest in BrahMos include Khazakistan, Brazil and Indonesia, along with several other countries.

Testing of the BrahMos air-launched version will be completed by the end of 2017. BrahMos will be compatible with aircraft, warships and land-based launch platforms.

The BrahMos missile was formed as a joint venture between India's state-run Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO) and Russia. BrahMos Dynamics was established in 1988 by India and Russia.
