SEOUL - Development of a North Korean intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) is in its final stage. On September 15, North Korea fired a Hwasong-12 intermediate-range ballistic missile (IRBM). This missile has a range of over 3,400 kilometers.
Pyongyang has threatened to attack Guam, a U.S. territory and home to a number of major military bases. So far, North Korea has fired 19 missiles on 14 occasions this year.
