INDIA TEST FIRES BRAHMOS SHIPBORNE MISSILE

NEW DELHI - India carried out a successful test of its BrahMos supersonic missile. An Indian Navy stealth frigate in the Bay of Bengal fired the missile at a land target located on a test range April 21. This is the first test of the land-attack version of the BrahMos by the Indian Navy.

The land-attack version of BrahMos has been operational with the Indian Army since 2007.
