WASHINGTON - Raytheon has its new Long-Range Precision Fires (LRPF) system on display in Washington. The company is taking part in the 2017 Association of the US Army Global Force Symposium. The U.S. Army is looking for a new system to replace the ATACMS (Army Tactical Missile System).
Lockheed Martin and Raytheon are competing for this contract. The new missile is expected to be operational in the late 2020s.
