NEWTOWN, Conn. - Kellstrom Commercial Aerospace has acquired AirLiance Materials LLC from Lufthansa Technik. Over the next six to 12 months, Kellstrom's commercial warehousing and logistics operations are to move to AirLiance's 161,000-square-foot warehouse facility and headquarters near O'Hare Airport outside of Chicago. The combined company also plans to maintain a significant sales presence in South Florida. The merged operation will use the Kellstrom name and brand.
AirLiance had been wholly owned by Lufthansa Technik since early 2012, when the latter bought out minority shareowners Air Canada and United Airlines.
Kellstrom, a subsidiary of Inverness Management LLC, is a full-service provider of logistics and material management solutions for the global aviation industry.
